Once again, the local vigilantes were out in force to try to scupper any planning application involving Greys Green Farm
The Parish Council called a Public Meeting on 9 April 2008 and the Native Woodland team left the meeting severely traumatised, reporting that they had never before - in many similar meetings throughout the country to present their plans - been subjected to such abuse and just plain bad manners.
The application was refused by SODC, with the local opposition dredging up all manner of fanciful disaster scenarios.
The application went to appeal in October 2008 and the appeal found in favour of the applicant (Native Woodland) in December 2008.
No doubt the local vigilantes were happy that their brainless posturing had once again cost someone else a great deal of money.
